Congratulations to Kaitlyn Zerbe, 2009 PPRS Scholarship Recipient
Kaitlyn Zerbe, a Muhlenberg College student, has been awarded the $1,000 PPRS scholarship. Kaitlyn, from Pine Grove, PA, is a senior Communication Major with a minor in Business Administration.
Kaitlyn has gained public relations experience through public relations internships at WITF, WHP TV and the Office of Public Relations at Muhlenberg College. Additionally, she coordinated the event "Schuylkill County Idol: Competing for a Cause" in which proceeds benefitted a local child who had been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. Kaitlyn has also been on the Dean's List every semester and has a GPA of 3.7.
Kaitlyn was also named the 2008 Communications Internship Award for Students of Color. She tutors other Communication students, and is a member of several community service organizations. One day, Kaitlyn hopes to become a public relations guru for the American Cancer Society, in honor of her father, who lost his battle with cancer.
