PPRS - Dedicated to You, the Public Relations Professional!

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society's website. Known as PPRS, our professional society is dedicated to enhancing your professional growth and enabling you to reach new heights. No matter what industry you work in -- corporate, non-profit, agency, trade association or government -- PPRS has something for you!

What is PPRS?

PPRS is a professional society of more than 150 active public relations professionals throughout central Pennsylvania. Our members represent various types of organizations with expertise in all facets of public relations.

PPRS has been providing professional development to Central Pennsylvania's public relations practitioners since its inception in 1950. Recognizing how much a company's success depends upon the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of its public relations staff, PPRS has been dedicated to helping Central Pennsylvania public relations professionals achieve excellence. Each month, PPRS presents speakers who are leaders in public relations or related fields. The speakers explain successful techniques, clarify problems, offer new viewpoints, and encourage a lively exchange of ideas.

Meeting Information

PPRS meetings are held the last Thursday of each month with the exception of July, August, October and December. All meetings have a professional development program after dinner with the exception of the November meeting, which is the PPRS Annual Evening of Honors. At this event, new officers are installed and the Ernest R. McDowell Award for Excellence in Public Relations and the Robert M. Fisher membership Recruitment Award are presented. Check back here monthly for the updated meeting information.
