As we approach the one year mark of coping with the COVID-19 pandemic and the ways in which it has changed our lives, it is fair to say that communications and PR professionals have been impacted in some way by the new, virtual environment that we find ourselves living and working in.
With the significant changes made to the healthcare industry as a whole, communications professionals working within that sector have been required to pivot, learn new skills, and manage an ongoing crisis.
Join us for a discussion with Penn State Health’s Amy Peiffer, Social Media Specialist, and Barbara Schindo, Media Relations Specialist, as they share with us the lessons they have learned throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and how those lessons can be applied to communications strategies and tactics across all industries. Topics will include:
- Changing needs related to tools, software, and resources
- Monitoring and responsiveness
- Practicing transparency – both internally and externally
- Handling crisis communications
